I had the opportunity to work at WeatherNation during Winter Break and its quite the operation! I know some of you on here are TC AMS members and have toured it (If I recall correctly).

I want to know when this trend of TV meteorologists needing to constantly entertain viewers started... or maybe it was always there... or maybe this is the beginning!

This really has nothing to do with this thread, other than someone showed it to me last weekend when mentioning The Jets were having a reunion concert. Douglas is the host of this event. 80's cheese at the Metrodome!

It started when the entertainment departments took over the newscasts in the mid-late '80's. It's all about edutainment.
