Hennepin Ave. Bridge 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Headed downtown last night in hopes of getting some good pics of the cityscape with the fog. The fog didn't end up cooperating but after a conversation with a stumbling drunk guy, another with 3 kids from the Youth Challenge, and random people asking me what I'm taking pictures of even with my camera sitting on my tripod facing the bridge, I was able to get one picture I am proud of:

Nice picture Dean... Nice streaks. Taking pics of town from near there sounds like a good shot too.

Thanks Tony. I was thinking that spot could be good for getting some pics of downtown too...but it was so foggy just above the surface that night that I seriously couldn't see the buildings from where I was at.

lol so true Bill. I parked by the Stone Arch bridge. The walk to Hennepin along the river was a little nerve racking to say the least. It's a good thin a tripod can double as a bat.

I've completed my video of time lapses from a few weeks ago. Something I learned in the process is that in order to have a 720p HD video on youtube, it must be at least 24 fps. My lapses are usually at 8 fps. Lots of conversions with VirtualDub tonight to get the desired result.

This was shot with a D60.

That is awesome Tony, I know we have asked before but, do you have like a serial shutter release setup that plugs into a palm or something or do you just take the shots manually every x seconds?

I do them manually with an IR remote. I have a little rig built that will do the shutter automatically, but I haven't got a cover for it or a way to attach it to the camera yet.
